About us
Built around how the South Bay heats and cools
The Santa Clara Valley has a Mediterranean climate, with dry summers and mild, damp winters, and the inland and southern parts run noticeably hotter than neighborhoods near the Bay. That spread shapes our work. A home in Morgan Hill or the East Foothills puts far more strain on an air conditioner than one in Mountain View, while older houses across San Jose often hide original ductwork, aging furnaces or even floor furnaces that need careful attention. BayPro Heating & Cooling works from San Jose and sends technicians across Santa Clara County and into nearby parts of Alameda, San Mateo and Santa Cruz counties. Every visit starts with testing, not guessing. We measure, explain what we find in plain language and put the options in writing. If a repair makes sense, we do it. If the equipment is near the end of its life, we say so and lay out the paths forward, including heat pumps, without pressure.

FAQ
Common questions
What kinds of systems do you work on?
Gas furnaces, central air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, ductwork, thermostats and indoor air quality equipment.
Do you only repair, or do you install new systems too?
Both. We repair existing equipment and install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps and mini-splits when replacement makes more sense.
Will you tell me what a repair involves before doing it?
Yes. After diagnosing the problem, we give you written options and wait for your approval before starting work.
Do I have to replace my gas furnace because of Bay Area Air District rules?
No. The rules do not require replacing working equipment. They apply only when a furnace or water heater fails or is replaced.
What changes for furnaces in 2029?
Under Rule 9-4, gas furnaces manufactured from 2029 must meet a zero-NOx emission standard, which in practice points replacements toward heat pumps.
Is there a federal tax credit for heat pumps now?
The federal 25C credit covered qualifying heat pumps placed in service before December 31, 2025. It is not available for new installations after that date.
Are there local heat pump incentives?
BayREN and your local clean energy provider may offer electrification incentives. Amounts change by funding cycle, so we confirm the current offer first.
Which cities do you serve?
San Jose and nearby cities including Santa Clara, Campbell, Milpitas, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Fremont, Mountain View and Los Altos.
